September Glossybox Review

I cannot actually believe it’s October already and we are now looking back on September. September went by in a blur for me; with the kids going back to school, me going back to University for my last year and going through some tough going personal circumstances. However, knowing I had a new box of goodies to look forward to helped me get through it especially the complimentary Kinder Bueno that came with this month’s box! Thanks Glossybox! Let;s get on with the review shall we:

STYLondon Siligel Blender – £5.99

I was glad I got to try this as I have seen the hype surrounding them in the blogger/vlogger community. I am not going to lie I did find it abit weird at first as I am used to using my complexion sponge or a buffing brush. However, I didn’t need to use as much product as normal and found this was much easier at placing product around the contours of my face. Definitely one to keep trying.

Cetaphil Trio

Cetahil Gentle Skin Cleanser – £8.99

I liked the smell of this but I felt it didn’t take all of my make up off so had to use this as a second cleanse or morning cleanse but I felt I already have other products that do a better job than this.

Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion – £8.99

I liked this for the daily moisturuising of my body, it wasn’t too heavy or sticky, dried in fast and didn’t leave me with that horrible greasy feeling on my skin.

Cetaphil Moisturising Cream – £10.99

I found this was too heavy for use as a facial moisturiser during the day but it was perfect as part of my nightly skincare routine. You really don’t need a lot of this and it left my skin feeling nourished and hydrated, wasn’t too much on my oily skin and like the lotion didn’t leave me with a greasy residue.

SkinFix Hand Repair Cream – £12.99

I’ve had dermatitis on my hands for 5 years now and often suffer from flare ups. Finding a cream to deal with these flare ups can be difficult. This was perfect for my skin as it wasn’t greasy, treated the skin well providing me with the hydration my dry hands needed and did well at soothing my sore skin.

MonuMonu Firming Fiji Facial Oil – £21.95

I love this product! A little certainly goes a long way, this gave me a great glow, smelled gorgeous and complimented the other products in my nightly skincare routine brilliantly. I also loved this for soothing the insect bites that I have on my legs too.

Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer – £12.00

Again, this was another hero product of mine. I’ve always wanted to try a Pixi product as I know they are much loved by the beauty world however they are at the top of the high street price range for me. Yet this product is totally worth the money. It kept my brows in place all day, helped shape them and didn’t dry with that horrible, crispy residue that some brow tamers do.

I really enjoyed trying the products in the September edit of Glossybox and look forward to the next one!
